Antique 6′ Double Square Ended Cast Iron Clawfoot Bathtub w/ Original Plumbing. Dual-square-ended European style cast iron bathtub with original plumbing and fleur-de-lis claw feet. Marked on the bottom with the interior tub measurement 5′ 5. The rectangular shape of this tub makes it extremely rare. Almost all antique double-ended tubs on the market have curved ends that slope outward from the bottom of the tub; however, the ends of this tub are straight and extend from the bottom of the tub at a 90-degree angle. The interior depth of this European style tub measures 18 ½-inches. The tub includes the original center-fill plumbing, featuring a low, side-filling inlet, allowing water to fill from the bottom, up. The original fleur-de-lis eagle claw feet have been painted white. The exterior of the tub displays a beautiful hand painted floral frieze on a white background on 3 sides, including the artists initials, MW, below the 3-inch roll-top. This tub was made in America during the early 1900s by Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company, which merged with American Radiator in 1929 to form American Standard. Original porcelain enamel, two minor pits and scratches on rim due to age. Note: original plumbing pictured, does not include faucets. Includes tower drain and overflow, with decorative porcelain’Waste’. Interior: 5.5′ long x 18.5 wide. Exterior: 72″ long x 31.5″ wide x 24 tall.
