This drafting/design table has a unique and very special history. It was used in the Hubble Space Telescope Design Lab. At the Perkin-Elmer Corporation Danbury Connecticut Facility. I have been in possession of this table since late 1988 and obtained it directly from a prominent, long standing Connecticut Perkin-Elmer employee. I picked this drafting table up personally from the Perkin-Elmer facility. The height and angle of the board is fully adjustable. Made of oak with a maple top and cast iron hardware (Hamilton 49J4-J7664-58). It has been well taken care of and cared for. I believe I have the drafting machine that was on the board, as well. Please view all pictures. Please message me with any questions you may have. Top – 60 inches x 38 inches. Height adjustable from – 30 inches to 40 inches (seated and standing positions). Legs (outside) – 40 inches. Read about the history of the Hubble Space Telescope along with its issues and Perkin-Elmer’s involvement, in the below link.
