Antique Cast Iron Kettle Teapot #7 Evers Company, St. This pot with only Evers’ name embossed on swivel lid is VERY RARE. It has a bird type spout and a handle for hanging over a fire. Three small feet are on the bottom of the pot. The company began as Evers Temme Stove Works, but Temme got out of the business in the late 1880s. An Evers Temme teapot of this exact design is in the Missouri History Museum in St. Kettle weighs almost 8.5 pounds. It is 12.25 inches across the top from spout tip to other side. Not counting the handle, it is about 7 inches tall. It is rusty inside the pot and around the edges of the lid but the deep black paint on the outside is still beautiful. Cast iron is breakable.
